This month we’d like to highlight a very special group regularly sending cards to our wounded warriors – the Center One Unit of Parkhouse Providence Point. The Center One Prayer Support Group is comprised of elderly and chronically ill residents of all ages whose goals are to help others find strength and comfort through faith, make a difference in the life of someone else, and to honor God.

We are so happy that they have chosen OperationPAL as one of their projects because the support they show is heartfelt and ongoing. Robin, who is the Caseworker, meets regularly with any Resident interested in prayer support. She says the ladies love to pray for the troops and send cards, written prayers, and other uplifting materials to the wounded members of the armed forces to be of help and comfort.

The photos submitted are of the group on a day when a soldier visited while on leave from Iraq, and of some of the lovely holiday cards and art projects they have submitted to OperationPAL for our wounded Marines.

The comments we receive from the families of our wounded are warmly appreciative that total strangers will take time to create an item to make them feel better. Center One Prayer Support Group thanks OperationPAL for allowing them to be of support to our wounded Marines. We send a big OohRah back out to the Center One Prayer Support Group for being such caring citizens.
